Legendary violinist Leila Josefowicz has a busy spring ahead. From Toronto, to Madrid, to London, and then to our own Packard Hall in Colorado Springs, it is no surprise that this powerhouse performer is the most recent recipient of the lauded Avery Fisher Prize. She has collaborated with festival faculty member John Novacek since 1985, and the pair have performed in renowned venues all over the world.
This concert will feature works by Sibelius, Prokofiev, Mahler, Zimmermann and the recently deceased Oliver Knussen, with whom Josefowicz enjoyed a close working relationship. We are thrilled and honored to host such special guests, and we can't wait to share this start to our 35th anniversary season with all of you.
