Max presents "Bootblacking 101 Featuring Katherine Control"
Do you swoon at the scent of leather, or cherish providing meaningful service? Do you get hot watching someone work hard for you, or feel pleasure at someone's focused attention on you? Through bootblacking, you can experience any or all of these things and much more.
Bootblacking, or the art of caring for leather shoes and boots, is a dying practice outside of leather and kink communities. Inside of them, we carry on a legacy of bringing people pleasure through tending to their beloved leatherwear. Whether sensual, sexual, or simply service, bootblacking offers opportunities for intimacy that continue providing satisfaction long after the work is done.
In this class, Katherine will discuss why you might be interested in bootblacking (giving or receiving), and will show techniques and products for different types of leather. There will be ample opportunity for supervised practice, and of course, some sexy bootblacking demos.
While this is primarily a hands-on, technical class, you are encouraged to bring someone whose boots or shoes you would like to shine. Polishing boots on someone's feet is wildly different than doing it alone. (You'll see why in the demos!) But if you would just like to know how to keep your own leather shoes and boots in good repair, there will be plenty for you in this workshop, too.
Even if you've never touched shoe polish before, or had anyone black your boots or shine your shoes, you will walk away from this class with a foundational understanding of this legacy art.
No prior knowledge of boots or bootblacking is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners, and for all genders and orientations.
If you can, come with a practice partner and their boots. If you don't have a partner, bring a pair of boots and come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to practice.
