The Snowman_Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
The Snowman (1982) is a delightful 26 minute animated film that weaves a spell of magical enchantment as a young boys snowman comes to life and they both take a magical flying visit to the North Pole. A little boy rushes out into the wintry day to build a snowman, which comes alive in his dreams that night. Like the book, the story is told through pictures, action and music. The film is a wordless story except for the song "Walking in the Air" performed by a choir boy, and is illustrated in soft drawings like the hazy softness of air in snow. The experience of this film is one that anyone adult and child alike - will ever forget.
