Susannah Weaver
Little Sue (Susannah Weaver) has been a mainstay of the Portland Americana/Folk-Rock scene for over 25 years. Her quirky lyrical style, solid guitar playing, and bee-stung voice have won over music lovers of every age and stripe. With six EPs of original songs, and a seventh in the making, Little Sue has developed a deep and varied catalogue of work that continues to grow. She has opened for the likes of Bob Dylan, Neko Case, Roger McGuinn, Loudon Wainwright III, and shared the stage with local luminaries such as The Minus-Five, Fernando, and Mike Coykendall.
Capturingmorsels of bittersweet humanity with grace, poignancy, and goose-bumpy honesty, she turns them into sparkling art. With her distinct and signature sweetly-pinched vocals, Little Sue and her music are arguably the most lovable act in Portland. CD Baby
Her originals would be just as comfortable in Neil Youngs After The Gold Rush back pocket as they would be in Nashville or Bakersfield 25 years ago. - The Rocket
