Proof a play by David Auburn
This drama is a beautifully written play about a young woman, Catherine, who has spent four years of her life caring for her father Robert, a brilliant mathematician, who was suffering with debilitating mental illness. She has put her life on hold to be there for him and now she has the chance to move forward there are new hurdles to face: Hal, an enthusiastic mathematician intent on finding a new proof among her fathers journals, and Claire, her over protective sister who plans to take her to New York for a fresh start. What they don't realize is that Catherine is far more like her father than they could have ever imagined.
