Presenting three condensed plays: ------------------------------------- Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov Secret Rapture by David Hare Downtime by Harry Standjofski
==========
The Chekhovian acting project is an exploration of 20th century realism presenting three condensed plays: Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Secret Rapture by David Hare and Downtime by Harry Standjofski. Set each within its own time period - early 19th century, 1980s Britain and early Canadian 2000s. Performed by a strong ensemble cast of 14 actors, the focus has been on developing personal narratives and clear character arcs. Linked not only by their genre but through themes of family obligation, loyalty and betrayal, shattered illusions and the ways we in which we deceive ourselves. Presented in the Cazalet Theatre at Concordias Loyola Campus.
* Audience should arrive 30 mins before scheduled shows begin.
* Please note that the F.C. Smith building is regrettably not an accessible space for guests in wheelchairs.
