A Streetcar Named Desire
Tennessee Williams' classic tale takes place in post World War II New Orleans' French Quarter. Blanche Dubois, the delicate belle, seeks solace in her gentle sister Stella, and hopes to find a place in the world to call her own. Stanley, Stella's husband and an animalistic brute of a man, doesn't trust Blanche and senses an ulterior motive. Stanley and Blanche struggle for the love and attention of Stella, battling each other, their own desires and instincts in an all out war of self-destruction.
Directed by Vicki Schairer, this is Wax Wings' fourth production and closes out our first season! (We wanted to pick a doozy!). The cast includes; Danielle Kellerman, Jacqui Baker, Jesse Wood, Patrick Curran, Wendy Bellvue, Kyle Blanchette, Francesco Tisch, Kevin Fennessey and Lynn Wilcott to take on this monumental roles.
The show opens in the Factory Theatre (791 Tremont Street Boston, MA) on June 27th, and runs the 28th, 29th, July 5th and 6th at 8:00 pm, July 1st (Monday evening Industry Night 7:30 pm), and June 30th and July 7th at 2:oo pm.
