Iris Rose: The Siren Song of the Silver Screen presented by TWEED
Film buff Iris Rose returns to Pangea with a show that combines her love of cinema with her ear for great songs. Genres represented range from cult films to kids' classics, from Bond flicks to horror movies. She is joined by Christopher Berg on piano, Daniel Gatlin on Celtic harp, and a special appearance by James Siena on ukelele.
The show is presented by TWEED TheaterWorks, Kevin Malony Artistic Director.
Iris Rose is a longtime resident of the East Village, where she performed, wrote and directed many shows with the group Watchface in the 1980s. In 2008 she founded the short-lived Theater of the Grasshopper that presented offbeat shows for kids and adults. She is currently a designer of children's clothing (Mackrelmint on Etsy) and a performer whenever the opportunity arises.
