YUYA - by Kiyo Kamisawa - NYWinterfest 2019 - Theater Festival Competition
Yuya is a modern adaptation of a Japanese traditional Noh drama. It is a play about a woman named Yuya who seeks to reunite with her mother while she suffers from male oppression in two lifetimes: one in ancient Japan, and another in modern America.
