THE RADICALS, Wednesday November 21, 7pm
Join us at the La Paloma Theatre on Wednesday, November 21 for the San Diego Premiere of THE RADICALS.
The Radicals Film (Canada, 55min) follows an active group of snowboarders and surfers who drift away from their respective sports into the world of frontline activism. The film follows their journey across the West Coast of Canada. Tamo Campos, the director of the film and the grandson of famed environmentalist David Suzuki says; The radicals takes its audience beyond the slopes and beaches and challenges outdoor sports enthusiasts to reflect on their relationship to the land. Campos, alongside fellow Producer Jasper Snow-Rosen are touring the film from Vancouver to California. The two are the directors of a nonprofit called Beyond Boarding and are making the road trip in a vehicle that runs on waste-cooking oil. Snow-Rosen echoes Campos sentiment about the film explaining; "I love wild food, exploring and surfing this coast. It fills me with a responsibility to stand up for it. Thats what this film is about. Combining visually stunning sport photography while uncovering critical social and environmental issues, The Radicals is a film you wont want to miss.
