Called "One of the brightest fiddlers around today" by WGBH radio host Brian O'Donovan, multistyle violinist and champion fiddler MARI BLACK has been delighting audiences across the country and around the world with her energetic playing, sparkling stage presence, and dazzlingly virtuosic fiddling. Raised on a rich blend of traditional musical styles, Mari made her entrance onto the international stage when she became Scotland's Glenfiddich Fiddle Champion, 2-time U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion, and 2-time Canadian Maritime Fiddle champion, all within a three-year period. Ever since then, she has been spreading her love for dance-based music, performing as a featured artist at Celtic festivals, celebrated folk venues, world music concert series, and acclaimed classical concert venues including Carnegie Hall. Mari has appeared with such diverse artists as Irish fiddle champion Liz Carroll, Americana master Mark O'Connor, and jazzman Willie Ruff. Her music has been heard on the BBC Radio Scotland's "Take the Floor", Fox and CBS morning news, NPR's "Here and Now, WFMT Chicago's "Folk Stage", WGBH Boston's "A Celtic Sojourn", and on dozens of other music radio shows across the country. An enthusiastic collector of passport stamps, Mari has played concerts in Brazil, Scotland, Canada, China, Korea, Zimbabwe, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and France, and she can't wait for the next stop!
Mari's passion for diverse traditional musics extends far beyond the concert stage, as reflected in her work as a teacher, performance coach, dancer, competition judge, and musical ambassador dedicated to connecting people through music. Known as a master teacher with a playful and unconventional approach to helping students expand their horizons, Mari has taught workshops at the Acadia Trad School, the Swannanoa Gathering, the Jink and Diddle School of Scottish Fiddling, the Mark O'Connor fiddle camp, the Tanglewood Festival, the Yale School of Music, and more. Currently touring nationally with her trio and a new duo with world accordion champion Cory Pesaturo, Mari's favorite thing to do is sweep her audience away on a spirited musical adventure featuring dance music from around the globe: Celtic, American, and Canadian fiddling, jazz, tango, klezmer, folk, original works, and more!

Three-time world accordion champion CORY PESATURO ("C Pez") is on the forefront of the accordion world, pushing the boundaries of what is possible on the accordion. Cory is the only person to ever win a World Championship on Acoustic, Digital And Jazz Accordion, and the only accordion graduate of the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. In 2017, Cory became a Guinness World Record Holder, as RedBull flew him to Austria to break the Marathon Accordion Record, in which he played for over 32 hours. Cory's main contribution is his visionary thinking of how the accordion should be used, played, taught, and presented in modern music; this vision led him to give a TED talk, develop his own electric accordion, and make the first ever skinned accordion which includes a symmetric lighting system attached to the keys.
Known for his fluent improvisational skills and revolutionary digital accordions, Cory's extensive performing resume features appearances all over the globe, including several performances at the White House for President and Mrs. Clinton, and headlining at international accordion festivals around the world. Some TV appearances include the Late Show, performing with Johnny Depp, and nationally televised programs in New Zealand, Canada, Italy, Tunisia, France, and Finland. On an NYC broadcast, CNBC/FOX host Maria Bartiromo once said "No one is currently doing more for the Accordion than Cory". He has judged accordion competitions in the US, Canada, and Europe, in addition to music competitions in general, and he currently gives masterclasses at various universities throughout the US and Europe. Cory recorded two CD's with jazz saxophone legend George Garzone and his famous band "The Fringe", and has performed / become friends with jazz trumpet legend Wynton Marsalis. Accordion legend Dick Contino said of him, "Of all the accordionists I've seen over the years, Cory is the one to pass the torch to, the only one who has all the tools to bring the accordion back to its former glory."
