Artichoke Music Holiday Concert!
Artichoke Music presents:
Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All!
Holiday Concert and Sock Drive for the Homeless

Featuring Beth Wood, Megan Cronin & Chris Baron, Mark Bosnian, Ed Haynes, David Gross, Halelupe, Gary Furlow and Alexa MacDonald

In this turbulent time, we will celebrate community, peace, and healing. Come celebrate with us!

Please bring one pair of warm winter socks to be distributed to Portland's homeless community through the good works of Transition Projects.

Beth Wood is an award-winning songwriter, a modern-day troubadour, and believer in the power of song. Her exceptional musicianship, crafty songwriting, powerhouse voice, and commanding stage presence have been winning over American audiences for over twenty years. Beth has released ten independent albums and two books of poetry with album #11 scheduled to be released in the fall of 2018. Beths work has expanded to include teaching voice and song coaching as well as leading workshops at festivals, songwriting retreats and beyond. Beth believes that engagement in the process of creation is as important as its outcome. Her musical philosophy is that there are no wrong notes.
A woman with the heart of songcraft in her blood and the exceptional musicianship to back it up.  The Corvallis Advocate

Mark Bosnian is an award winning songwriter (Grand Prize-Portland Music Association Songwriters Contest) and was voted into The Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2001. As a member of national acts Nu Shooz and Body & Soul, he toured the US and played on The Pat Sajak Show and The NBC Today Show.
Bosnian has impressive songwriting skills. His tunes are distinguished by their memorable hooks and intelligent lyrics.
 --The Oregonian

Megan Cronin and Chris Baron have been making music together across various projects since 2010. This is a blend of Americana, pop-grass, and sweetness. Two voices, two sets of strings, one kick, one harmony. Megan has been an Arichoke music teacher for five years, has worked in The Artichoke Store for two years.
Chris has been performing at Artichoke for more than eight years.

Thirty years after his doubly eponymous debut, and a mere fourteen after his last, Ed Haynes has a new studio album.
Loosely adapted from a theatrical production, the album entitled A Man Walks Into a Bar vol. 1  is by and about the life and times of a flat-picking, folk-singing, rock&roll comic songwriting storyteller.

There has always been a wide variety of music swirling around ole New Orleans.  Gary Furlow grew up there and hears the sounds and beats of the city in every song he plays. Now living in and influenced by the Pacific Northwest, it makes for an interesting, entertaining mix.

Alexa MacDonald, Artistic Director at Artichoke music, will take the stage with Gary Furlow, Artichoke's Production Director, to share in the camaraderie and the spirit of the holidays!

Halelupe is a native Oregonian and a singer-songwriter. She grew up in a big Portland family with music all around her. Halelupe sings about the heart of things  those things which fly under the radar, yet yearn for expression. Her songs are meant to reflect the rewards and challenges of choosing the path with a heart and to provide succor and inspiration along the way.

Transition Projects provides individuals with the services, resources and tools they need to end their homelessness, secure housing and maintain that housing. Transition Projects assists more than 10,000 people annually, with a special focus on veterans, women, couples and people with disabilities.

This concert is a benefit for Artichoke Community Music.
