7th Annual Strengthening Local Economies Everywhere! Dinner
On Saturday, September 7th 2013, CAGJ will hold our 7th Annual Strengthening Local Economies, Everywhere! Dinner. Join more than 300 activists, farmers, food workers, and allied organizations for a fun networking opportunity over a meal created with local, sustainable and Fair Trade ingredients.
This year's SLEE! dinner will celebrate food service workers and efforts to improve conditions in their often overlooked sector of our food system. We will be highlighting workers involved in some empowering organizing and initiatives. Saru Jayaraman, long-time New York restaurant organizer and author of the new book Behind the Kitchen Door, will give our keynote speech.
