SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 2013 - THE JAMMIN' DIVAS - A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR THE WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER OF NEWPORT AND BRISTOL COUNTIES
The WRC works to prevent domestic violence through the empowerment of individuals and the community by providing advocacy, education, and support services.
7:30 pm, doors open 7:00 pm
BYOB and food allowed
$20, $15 for students and seniors, $15 advance
Three stunning voices from Ireland, the United States, and Australia come together to perform traditional and contemporary music from their cultures. "While each of these talented women is individually recognized as an accomplished player and vocalist, it is their combined artistry that creates an unparalleled musical dynamic."
The Jammin' Divas are: Aoife Clancy (Ireland) (vocals, guitar, bodhran), Becky Chace (USA) (vocals, guitar), Kath Buckell (Australia) (vocals, guitar, minor percussion), Hadar Noiberg (Israel) (flute, bass, backing vocals).
