Kristi Faulkner Dance Detroit Debut Concert

Kristi Faulkner Dance is a multidisciplinary movement company based in the Detroit area that thrives on collaboration, blurring the lines between audience and performer, and exploring the intersection of both visual and aural experiences in unconventional performance spaces. Through live performance, dance for the camera, outreach activities and unconventional performance spaces, Kristi Faulkner Dance strives to make dance accessible, thought-provoking, and a visceral experience.

Our Detroit debut performance will be held in the Jam Handy Building - a former film studio for the Detroit auto industry which has undergone a series of changes over the years. The current owner has put his blood sweat and tears into renovating this incredible space while maintaining a creativity-inducing industrial environment. We have fallen in love with this space and are captivated by its potential as a space for dance.

With an incredible cast of movers, KFD's Detroit debut concert will include a wide range of work - from a dance film shot in a graffiti yard to the acclaimed "Peculiar Juice" to our newest work "Four Letter Word" which explores gender, sexuality and the sometimes humorous manifestations of love.
