You Can't Hire Me: Live!
It started off simple enough. Paolo Sambrano would write awful cover letters to jobs, send them, and post to Tumblr. Paolo starts writing again, and still collect unemployment (you can't say he wasn't looking for work, right?). You Can't Hire Me, the Tumblr read by ten's of people, which spun off the print zine read by five's of people (on the toilet), takes to the stage for the first time for an evening of awful cover letters and unemployment with You Can't Hire Me: Live!

Paolo will be reading awful cover letters he has posted to You Can't Hire Me (and sent to companies as well). And he's brought friends, too. Comedians Marc Abrigo and Nikki Thayer will be gracing the stage with their true stories of unemployment and

Not content to be a simple storytelling/live letter reading night, there will be an awful cover letter written and sent live onstage with help from the audience. It'll be just like the end of The Breakfast Club!

This will be your chance to take back the power and stick it to those on the other side of the hiring desk! You Can't Hire Me: Live will be like a job fair that doesn't suck, and instead of dead-end job listings, there will be laughs.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
PAOLO SAMBRANO - Writer-performer Paolo Sambrano teeters on the edge of eye-rolling-never-ending-hyphenate and someone who actually does things. Creator of the Tumblr read by ten's of people, You Can't Hire Me. Paolo's debut solo show "Bi-Poseur" (directed by W. Kamau Bell, star of FX's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell) has played to sold-out houses in the Bay Area, and has performed in Texas and Maryland. Paolo is a former sometimes purveyor of fine dried beef, was a speaker at South by Southwest Interactive, and also blogs about television at the San Francisco Appeal. Paolo has been featured in the SF Weekly, the San Francisco Chronicle, and KXAN-TV in Austin, TX mentioned that his suicide attempt was "obviously unsuccessful."

MARC ABIRGO - Based in the Bay Area, angry nerd and boy band connoisseur Marc Abrigo is known for delivering some of the sharpest and most polished lines in the game with his pointed observations on race and pop-culture minutia. The newest addition to the "Filipino Kingz of Comedy," Marc has opened for such acts as Jo Koy and Ali Wong and co-starred alongside his comedy troupe on MYX TV's "Lexationships."

NIKKI THAYER - Nicole Thayer is a front end developer, art director, and comedian. She has also been a receptionist, salesperson, filing clerk, grocery bagger, children's book illustrator, muralist, cat sitter, cold caller, audio editor, and Sunday school teacher.

She has been performing  comedy in the Bay Area for three years, and runs a tumblr of real posters for fake bands at mynewbandis.tumblr.com.
