Cinnamon and Cigarettes
Cinnamon and Cigarettes is a devised solo piece about Jeremy and Jenny, who grew up in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, dancing, pretending, and playing in the rain. Jeremy's life took some sharp turns, each affecting more people's lives. Cinnamon and Cigarettes was developed through a lens of Fitzmaurice Voicework and explores themes of friendship, love, unanswered questions, and the importance of nurturing our children.

What Audiences are Saying:
"People, you DON'T want to miss this! Jenny Newbry Waters is doing some incredibly moving and inspiring work!"
"Okay people...you really need to go and see this! I don't know exactly what I was expecting from this one-woman show, but I know I wasn't expecting what I got. Wow! Really touching...and from the looks on faces after the show, I wasn't alone in that feeling. Jenny Newbry Waters, you hit this one out of the park!! Go people, go."
"Jenny Newbry Waters's solo show, Cinnamon and Cigarettes, was one of the most open, honest works I've ever seen. Great storytelling and so much vulnerability. Please don't miss this show!"
"The way I felt when I walked out....touched....I mean, wow! That's why we go to the theater in the first place, isn't it?"
"You have only one more opportunity to see this absolutely amazing work. It is most assuredly NOT your run of the mill, average solo piece. DO NOT LET IT PASS YOU BY!! "
"I want to underline the rave here. I saw it last night and woke with it this morning. And I'm just a ticketbuyer! You'll like it; two thumbs up."
"Portland friends make time today for some masterful story telling. Jenny Newbry Waters is performing at 5:00 at MilePost 5. I was so deeply moved. It is exceptional work."
"It was absolutely beautiful! Great great work! THANK YOU for sharing your story!"
"The potent and authentic beauty of Cinnamon and Cigarettes is still resonating with me, and probably shall for the rest of my life, and for that I thank you infinitely, Jenny Newbry Waters. I feel that art is an invitation for others to understand our own rational way of working through our insanity with divine imagination and creativity (our crazy way of finding the truth). . . . I have grown because of it. Honestly, everyone in Hollywood should have to do something similar because the whole industry, and society as a result, would greatly benefit from the experience of truly, artistically facing the self. Brave and vulnerable, for me, you will now be a part of the symbol I hold onto that is Bare Aesthetics (you're in with 'the greats'!)."
"What masterful storytelling... I was very moved. I highly recommend not missing this one. Jenny, you should be so proud of your work, and thank you for sharing those stories."
