Journeys - Stories of Aha! Moments
Each of us who works to change the world is on a journey.  And each of these journeys begins with a moment of discovery that, in time, becomes a story. "Journeys" is about bringing our stories to life--a special opportunity to hear from the Bay Area's leading change-makers and social entrepreneurs, reliving and retelling their Aha! moments. We'll hear how each was shaped by their discoveries and how those discoveries, in turn, are shaping the world. And along the way, we'll explore how stories work, sip some tea, and share our own journeys.

Guest Storytellers:

Andy Ruben: Co-founder of sharing platform Yerdle, first Chief Sustainability Officer for Walmart
Maya Chorengel: Managing Director of microfinance group Elevar Equity, former Vice President of Warburg Pincus
Jason Rainey: Executive Director of International Rivers, protector of rivers around the world
Aeeshah and Kokomon Clottey: Co-founders of Oakland Attitudinal Healing, co-writers of Beyond Fear
Pamela Hawley: Founder and CEO of Universal Giving, Co-founder of Volunteer Match

Created and hosted by Jay Golden, Co-founder of Wakingstar, storyteller and story coach
Stories will be accompanied by the dynamic music of Eliyahu Sills
Special guest Joel ben Izzy

Presented in partnership with the David Brower Center and the Hub

About Wakingstar
If you want to have an impact on the world, you have to be able to tell your story. Best told, that story will reveal where you come from, what you do, and where you're going, in a way that connects you with your audience and inspires them to action. Through story coaching, events, workshops, and core story development, we help you understand how stories work and help you find your own - so you can shape the world.
