Romancing the West Legacy Tour
The critically acclaimed documentary style concert "Romancing the West" returns to the Pacific Northwest this summer, Friday July 26th and Saturday 27th coming to Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River. Romancing the West played to standing ovations across Oregon and California. The show's original score has birthed new classics such as "Columbia", "Legacy" and "City of Roses" and it's artists hits, and imagery spanning decades transcends cultural, political and generational differences to provide a night of celebration and education for all ages.
As history comes to life on the screen, the Romancing the West musical family of diverse award winning artists perform live. Featured artists include Award winning Pop/folk duo Gypsy Soul, Christina Duane, Sons of the Oregon Trail, Iron Butterfly's Martin Gerschwitz, Jesus Movement Pioneer Chuck Girard, jazz legend Patti Moran McCoy (played with Mel Torme and Duke Ellington on Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.
Singer/songwriter Nick Garrett Powell of the Fret Drifters, John Elliott (his music heard on Grays Anatomy), rock/fusion guitarist Byron Fry and LA sax man Monte Byrd.
