Beth Duncan Jazz Quintet at the Sound Room
Jazz vocalist Beth Duncan's adventurously pristine satiny vocals have earned her impressive acclaim and exposure for an indie artist. A hallmark of Duncan's musicality is her flair for interpretation. She has a unique touch for edgy arrangements that are broadly appealing.

Her latest release, Come The Fall, debuted at #26 on the Jazz charts, right below Diana Krall. Her music is a sweetly sophisticated collection of stunning originals by composer Martine Tabilio and imaginative arrangements of cherished jazz standards. Tracks from the album have been played on more than 110 stations nationally, along with stations in Canada, Kobe, Japan, Australia and The Netherlands.

This event will feature Beth on vocals, with Steve Homan on guitar, Mike McMullen on sax & flute,Bill Douglas on bass & Brian Kendricks on drums & percussion

Independent Music Award Nominee Beth Duncan puts fun twists on Great American Songbook selections with surprising rhythm choices as well as injecting the occasional tasty scat solo.  Beth will swing, sing the blues and fold in Latin grooves as well.

~ What reviewers are saying ~

"Comes The Fall" is possibly the most memorable autumn song since "Autumn Leaves," the original by Martine Tabilio  is romantic, quietly passionate and a perfect outlet for Ms. Duncan's very attractive and flexible voice.  "Comes The Fall" could possibly become a standard in the future.

In jazz, it's all about your sound, and Beth Duncan is blessed with a voice that has great musical range, and tonal color.

A solid, sweet fast ball down the middle that reawakens you to the possibilities out there honing chops as they labor in the fields.  Tasty throughout with a real jazzbo heart at the core.

Whether you'd hear her in a concert hall, a hotel bar, or in a recording studio, Duncan defines what singing is about

Great voice, great playlist, and perfect backing group, in other words the perfect package!   - Peter Kuller, Radio Adelaide - Adelaide, Australia

Duncan soars when she surprises us.  Her unlikely version of John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" is a gem.
- Alex Henderson

Beth Duncan rises to the occasion with an astounding jazz release that spans  fourteen songs and several jazz genres.....
- Matthew Forss

This album includes everything from gentle tracks that hold their composure to all-out scat-singing samba tunes that provide a hint of Duncan's wild side. Comes The Fall proves that Duncan can hang with the big dogs of jazz music any day of the week.
