Jay and Robbie's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Improv Workshop
UCB vs. PIT - that is the question. Since moving to NY, Robbie and Jay have been asked the differences between their experiences at UCB and PIT. While UCB tends to focus heavily on The Game and PIT tends to focus on character development, we do not believe these two philosophies to be mutually exclusive, and our workshop will help bridge the gap that we feel divides these two schools of thought.
Robbie Chernow and Jay Malsky, two founding members of the Punctual Drunks, bring their expanded improv knowledge back to the district for a workshop based on their experiences studying at Upright Citizen's Brigade and People's Improv Theater in New York. Our curriculum will include exercises focused on creating strong characters with a definitive perspective, detailed object work, and finding the game of the scene. This workshop would be ideal for anyone thinking about moving to New York to continue their improv education, as well as improvisors looking for new ways to improve upon their honed skill set. This course is not recommended for beginners. We will also host a Q&A after the workshop for any questions you might have about the New York improv scene (or just New York in general. Seriously. We'll tell you about apartment hunting.).
The cost for this fun workshop will be $15. Limited spaces available.
