GCT Summer Workshop: Solid Shakespeare
The first session, on May 18th, will focus on an overview of verse and rhythm, choosing scenes and partners. Subsequent Saturday workshops will also include cold readings and contextual analysis. The class will culminate with a performance for an invited audience. This six week workshop will be composed of individual rehearsals arranged evenings and weekends, as per review of actor conflicts and availabilities, etc. In addition to individualized coaching sessions, the group will meet together on Saturday to present progress and receive peer feedback.
This class is limited to 12 participants (6 minimum), and is recommended for actors who want to experience an in-depth study of Shakespeare. Actors may choose to work on monologues and/or scenes.
