CLASSIC STAGES: Stage I (May 20-23)
If you're new to acting or to classical language, join us for Stage I (May 20-23), where we'll provide an introduction to speaking the classics: the basics of speech work; speech structure; Rhetoric; and Intro to Character.
Our approach to classical acting is incredibly practical. If you've seen a PAC show, then you know what to expect: An emphasis on language and genuine intention. The pursuit of clarity and specificity. No academic discussions here; just a moment-to-moment exploration of how the living, breathing characters of classical plays use language to its full extent.
Dates and Times: Monday, May 20 6:30 - 10 pm Tuesday, May 21 6:30 - 10 pm Wednesday, May 22 6:30 - 10 pm Thursday, May 23 6:30 - 10 pm
Taught by PAC Resident Artists and acclaimed local actors Dan Hodge (director, TIMON OF ATHENS) and Krista Apple-Hodge (Lantern's HENRY V; PAC's CREDITORS).
