GARAGE JAM 2004!
Garage Jam 2004, a Special Fundraiser for Theatre Babylon's Renovation Fund
Theatre Babylon is proud to present probably the year's most unpredictable cabaret/variety show/whateverthehell, an evening of music, comedy, tango dancing, and two-dollar beers. For one evening, a whole panoply of Seattle artists present quick and startling acts ranging from operatic arias to folk music, from clowning to drama, and from erudite pseudo-lectures to low-brow stupidity.
Garage Jam 2004 is a fundraiser for Theatre Babylon's renovation fund, designed to raise needed cash for our upcoming renovations to our beloved Union Garage. As we wind down our hit summer show "Wreckage," we're preparing for our theatre's biggest production ever, an all-star effort to re-insulate, re-build, and re-think our treasured two-venue home.
Artists in the Garage Jam include a whole host of Union Garage veterans, including C harles Leggett, Bob White, Sarah Papineau, Gusta Johnson, K. Brian Neel, Mary Brannigan, Karen Milling, and others too numerous to mention. Details on the program will be available soon at our website, theatrebabylon.org.
Drinks, a show, and a Silent Auction filled with tasty treats ready for your eager bidding. Now THAT'S a summer event that's more fun than a couple of burnt burgers, an overpriced stadium seat, or a sunburn on your shoulders while you listen to overmiked 80's bands. It's LIVE PERFORMANCE, PEOPLE!
