There's A Path through the Darkness
Singing in community is a powerful source of joy, celebration, solace, and ritual for women around the world, and so it is with us. In the face of all that we are experiencing as sensitive women and human beings over the last weeks-- and the salt that has been poured into the deep often raw wound of personal and collective pain-- a strong need for communal healing through song is in the air.
The expressive and metaphorical process of creating unison and harmony while joining your voice with others is a powerful way to release stress, uplift the soul, transcend the personal, national, and global challenges we face daily--and energize our beings.
I am offering this opportunity for any who wish to come; bring your mothers, daughters, sisters and friends to share in this musical circle of kindred spirits, as we sing easily learnable rounds, chants and part music to help soothe, heal, remember, and unite us to continue our movement forward.
Girls 14 and older who love to sing and can maintain focus are welcome. No special musical experience is necessary. _______________
