LATIN JAZZ @ MONDO: The DAVID ALASTRE PROJECT featuring Latin Grammy Nominated Vocalist MV CALDERA
The popular monthly LATIN JAZZ @ MONDO music series continues on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 8pm with a special concert by the accomplished David Alastre Project. The event features in demand Latin Grammy nominated singer MV Caldera accompanied by pianist and producer David Alastre and talented percussionist Nerio Matheus for an evening of unique music fusing the Venezuelan sound with elements of  Latin music, jazz and world music. Teatro Sí brings to you this cultural opportunity at the stage at the unique & cozy MONDO venue, located at 426 Springfield Avenue in downtown Summit, NJ.

David Alastre is a keyboard player, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Venezuela that now calls New York City home. As a professional musician David has worked with national and international artists such as: Latin Grammy winner Obie Bermudez. Latin Grammy nominee Ingrid Rosario, Nelson Arrieta, Ronald Borjas, Victor Muñoz, Jorge Glem and several others.

David has joined in this project with the accomplished Venezuelan singer, musician and composer Maria Virginia Caldera, who recently was nominated to the Latin Grammy for her latest album titled Segundo Piso. She has shared the stage with artists like Juan Gabriel, Marc Anthony, Rubén Blades, Brenda K Star and others. She earned a master of music degree from the Cecilio Acosta University located in Maracaibo, Venezuela and has also been a sound engineer and vocal coach in New York City since 2013.

David Alastre and MV Caldera are joined in this special project by Venezuelan percussionist Nerio Matheus. Nerio has spent the last 22 years polishing his percussion skills and has performed nationally in the USA and internationally with various cultural bands and performers. He has perfected the integration of powerful Latin rhythms into the American music genre. This added dimension has been well received by music loving audiences at his concerts.

Concert tickets are priced at $20 in advance / $25 at the door. Purchase advance tickets online at BrownPaperTickets.com (enter Latin Jazz @ Mondo for event search). Reservations & info are also available by calling the Teatro Si box office at 908-301-9496 or purchase tickets in person at MONDO in Summit.
