Celebrity Conversation with Jason Mewes
Celebrity Conversation with Jason Mewes In 1994, the cinematic world was turned upside down when this New Jersey born and bred actor appeared in the cult classic Clerks, written and directed by a then-unknown Kevin Smith. As the likeable post smoking "Jay", he stole the show with his fast talking charm and sexual overdrive and since then, Jason has never looked back. The offbeat and philosophical drug dealing characters of "Jay and Silent Bob" (Mewes and Kevin Smith) cropped up again in four more hilarious films written and directed by Smith: Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and the road trip comedy epic Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. He has stretched his acting chops in other films, such as High Times Potluck, Pauly Shore is Dead, Vulgar, Feast, and will appear in the upcoming TV: The Movie, Bottom's Up, and Clerks II. Jason appears in two features making their World and Arizona Premiers at the 2006 Phoenix Film Festival, Joe Eckhardt's Nice Guys with David Faustino and Producer Chris Gore's My Big Fat Independent Movie.
