LIGHT DELAY, by Jessica Andrewartha
An environmental disaster has made the planet uninhabitable, and Dr. Triona Fitton's been devoting her engineering expertise to climate refugees. Then Triona is summoned to the deserted Mission Control that she designed to secure the last-minute launch of a colony ship carrying a hundred thousand settlers away from earth. If only Triona's former fiancé wasn't in command of that ship. If only Triona wasn't completely on her own. If only the power wasn't running out. From the seeds of conflict between two people to global climate failure, Light Delay explores the large-scale impact of small-scale choices.
Parley presents the world premiere workshop of a new play.
