Macbeth is a brave Scottish general who receives a prophecy from three witches saying that one day he will become the King of Scotland. Macbeth is then consumed by ambition. He is driven by his wife, leading him to kill the Queen of Scotland. Macbeth is then tormented with guilt and paranoia. He is forced to kill more people to help him reach the throne and to throw off suspicion. This then leads Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into a circle of madness and destruction.
