Matt Roach: The All Original Christmas Show 2018
Over the next 8 years the group played all over the Philadelphia area. During this time Matt began writing comedy songs to perform along with the sketches. After Jims Prom Picture Inc. ended, he started to concentrate on writing music. He kept writing and now, 25 years and 500 songs later, he is still going strong.
Roach doesnt play any cover songs. He says, I never taught myself any (covers) because the original artist would perform the song much better than I ever could. So its fast, slow, happy, sad, possibly demented music but all original, all the time.
Roach has performed hundreds of shows throughout the east coast. He has opened for noted touring artists including Marshall Crenshaw, Steve Forbert, Hamell on Trial, Steve Poltz, The Alarm and Peter Tork (the Monkees). He has released eight CDs, including a double holiday CD, Matt Roach: Naughty & Nice. He has received radio airplay in the U.S. and Europe.
