Old Time Radio Dinner Theatre
Dinner Theater at Murphy's Irish Pub Sunday, May 19 Monday, May 20 5:30pm
Old Time Radio LIVE! The month of May brings with it something NEW and CRAZY COOL. Wait for it . . . It's Old Time Radio-Noir.
The Adventures Of Phillip Marlowe, P. I.
Phillip Marlowe is a fictional character created by Raymond Chandler in a series of novels and short stories that were transcribed into incredibly popular radio programs. Phillip Marlowe was played by Humphrey Bogart, Robert Mitchum, Van Heflin, Dick Powell, and James Caan, and others. At this month's dinner-theater, Phillip Marlowe will be played by Jeremy Berrick. AND we will be featuring a special guest musician, Keith Ridenhour on the saxophone. Our stage will depict the dark nights of the streets of Southern California, the noir music of pulp-fiction from the 1940's, and a well written Chandler script entitled, RED WIND. The story begins with Marlowe saying, "There was a rough desert wind blowing into Los Angeles that evening. It was one of those hot, dry Santa Ana's that come down through the mountain passes and curl your hair, make your nerves jump, and your skin itch . . . Anything can happen when the Santa Ana blows in from the desert.
Also, featuring: Jeff Dreyer, Sharry Simpson, and Bill Shea
