Hometown Hootenanny: How-dee and Happy Trails
In a bittersweet show, we'll say "Happy Trails" to one of our favorite Hootenanny sweethearts, "Future Grand Ole Opry Member" Rachel Mae. This warm and wonderful songwriter is packing up to make the move to Nashville, so this will be her final appearance on the Hootenanny... for awhile. Come see her in this intimate venue before she starts playing concert halls and stadiums!
But we're excited to welcome two new faces to the Hootenanny stage! Larry Murante is a local singer/songwriter in the folk-roots tradition whose smooth vocals are a great match for his original compositions. Among other honors, Larry was the winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (yes, that John Lennon)!
Our other guest artist is a rising country star from Arlington, Jesse Taylor. Jesse recently packed the house at Skookum Brewery for his CD release party, but before that he was entertaining the troops in Dubai as a special request from the commanding officer!
The Hometown Band will complete the show, with a selection of traveling music -- chronicling journeys of the heart as well as physical travels. Tickets for the May 18 show are $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors/students/military, and only $5 for kids 12 and under. Purchase tickets online at brownpapertickets.com or by calling the Everett Theatre at (425) 258-6766. The box office opens at 6:30 the day of the show.
The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
