Portland Revels Sign-Up: Ride for the Vine - Bike Tour of the Vernonia Trail
Stop. Look. Listen. Not for the train ... it doesn't whistle along this old, abandoned railroad anymore. Just the jingle of bike bells along its re-purposed and freshly-paved trail. Dave Shepherd and crew will guide you through twenty one forested, gently-graded miles of traffic free riding from Vernonia to Banks. At Banks, be chauffeured to David Hill Winery to enjoy a picnic lunch and hosted tasting to celebrate your victory over the day.
We'll have a front-leader and a rear-guard, as well as a rescue vehicle if someone needs to exit mid-ride. Must provide your own bicycle and safety gear, but bike and people transportation will be provided. Multiple rides are a possibility depending on sign-ups.
