David Wax Museum (duo) House Concert in DC
Fresh off a tour with Los Lobos, David Wax & Suz Slezak, the founding members of David Wax Museum will be performing at Fishstick's Palace to preview a bunch of new material from their forthcoming album. Here's your chance to catch a rare, intimate show of David & Suz. The band now regularly plays DC venues such as the 9:30 Club and The Hamilton, but they got their start playing house concerts in and around the D.C. area.
David Wax Museum is a folk and roots rock band blending traditional Mexican folk music with Americana in what they call Mexo-Americana. With NPR hailing them as pure, irresistible joy and raves everywhere from SPIN and Entertainment Weekly to the New York Times and The Guardian (which dubbed the music global crossover at its best) they've earned invitations to support The Avett Brothers, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Buena Vista Social Club, and more.
