RECEIVE, RELEASE, RECLAIM
While pregnancy represents a period of expansion and growth, the postpartum phase is marked by a time of turning inward, a time for rest and integration. This is equally true in the event of pregnancy loss. By embracing this turning towards the dark, we honor the transformation and initiation aspects of pregnancy, regardless of birth outcome.
To truly receive the blessings that this postpartum return phase has to offer, we are called to release old parts of ourselves and in doing so, emerge from the darkness carrying the light of wisdom and healing to be shared with our families and within our communities.
This ritual is held within a safe, warm, supportive container and is open to anyone who has experienced a pregnancy.
What to expect: Doors open at 6pm for soup and tea and settling into comfortable space. Within the format of a sacred circle, there will be welcoming, introductions and lighting of candles to setintentions. The ritual will include music, song, storytelling, movement and sharing. Participants will have time for journaling and reflecting on their individual experiences.
What to bring: - a mug for tea/soup - pen and journal - object for the alter (optional) - blanket or cushion for sitting on the floor, some will be provided - eye pillow or scarf to cover eyes formeditation (optional)
