Sole Survivor Family Preview
Sole Survivor is the highly anticipated documentary that profiles four people who were the lone survivors of fatal plane crashes, including the 1985 crash of Galaxy 203 that killed 70 people from the Minnesota area. Having never given interviews in the past, this film is the first time the survivors have broken their long silence.
This is a ONE NIGHT ONLY preview of the film for Minnesota families who were connected to the GALAXY 203 disaster. The lone survivor, George Lamson will be in attendance along with the film's director and producers. All proceeds from this screening will be given to charity.
There will be a Q&A immediately following the film at the theater with Director Ky Dickens and lone survivor (Galaxy 203) George Lamson.
After the screening, there will be a reception beginning at 9:30 p.m. at the Longfellow Grill, located close to the Riverview Theater at 2990 West River Parkway. Director Ky Dickens and members of the film's production team will be in attendance, as well as George Lamson, the sole survivor of the 1985 Galaxy 203 flight, who is featured in the film.
SOLE SURVIVOR was named the Indiewire Project of the Month and was listed by PBS POV as one of the Top Ten most anticipated films of the year in 2012.
SOLE SURVIVOR is the second feature film for Chicago based director, Ky Dickens. Her award-winning first film FISH OUT OF WATER (2009) has been distributed world wide and has screened in over 300 churches, libraries and schools to help eradicate faith-based discrimination against the LGBTQ community.
