Tribute to Robert Wagner
Robert Wagner, Copper Wing Award Winner Born in Detroit and moved to Los Angeles at age 7, Robert Wagner always wanted to be an actor, and was discovered by a talent scout in a Beverly Hills restaurant. He first came to attention as a crippled soldier in the Susan Hayward film With a Song in My Heart. His all-American looks landed him a contract with 20th Century-Fox, and lead roles in such films as Prince Valiant, A Kiss Before Dying, and Between Heaven and Hell, The Longest Day, The Pink Panther, The Towering Inferno, and Midway. He ecame a television star in It Takes a Thief, Switch, and Hart to Hart, and returned to film with his hilarious role as #2 in the Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery films. He is featured in Hoot from Universal Pictures, an Official Selection of the 2006 Phoenix Film Festival and Little Victim, a short film by Phoenix-based filmmakers The Ronalds Brothers. We are pleased to award him the Copper Wing for his incredible body of work.
