Jazz Nights at Roedde House present The Ben Henriques Trio: Bebop and Beyond!
A wonderful up and coming saxophonist, Ben will be presenting some of his favourite music from the 1950's and beyond. He has been inspired by musicians such as Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Bud Powell.
Also a bebop aficionado, Jodi Proznick is one of Canada's finest bassists, and is very well recognized on the Vancouver jazz scene.
Tristan Paxton is a young Vancouver musician who is creating a great reputation for himself since completing his musical studies at McGill University.
Together they will offer a unique musical expression stemming from the rich tradition that is bebop music.
This concert is part of a monthly concert series, taking place on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm.
*****PARKING****** There are 4 available spots, designated as "Roedde House Museum Guests", on a private parking lot at the back of the house (alongside Broughton St).
Other options include the parking lot at the Empire Landmark Hotel (Robson & Broughton) or street parking on Robson and in the West End.
Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route).
**This concert series would not be possible without the generous support of the McGrane Pearson Fund and the Vancouver Foundation**
