Building and Marketing Your Personal Brand on Social Media
Curious about how to build your personal brand and expand the reach of your work using social media? Join us for this course and learn everything you need to know to get started with marketing yourself on social media sites. During this course, we will start with the basics, such as choosing the right name to ensure you can be easily found in a Google search, and move to more complex fundamentals, such as building out a strategy you can repeat week over week. We will also discuss posting strategies you can use across each platform, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Medium, to increase the reach of your writing. As we wrap up the course, we will go over a number of tools that are available for free or a small fee that can help you post consistently during peak traffic times. This course is designed for writers at all stages of their career, from the blogger just starting out to the author looking to self-publish their completed book.
About the Instructor: Taylor Moran is a Social Media Strategist at The Penny Hoarder. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in English and aspires to one day run her own consultancy dedicated to enabling artists of all mediums with the tools necessary to run and market their own digital presence and online business. When she is not working she can be found reading, blogging, and cuddling with her fur baby Oscar (named for Oscar Wilde, of course!) She can be found on social media and Medium as "Taylor Charlesia."
