In this workshop we discuss typical childhood stressors, excessive activities, inadequate age appropriate play time and whether children are too involved in adult concerns. Strategies and conversation around your particular child and family and how to remove stressors from the environment.
Brenda Henley CCFE Senior Facilitator/Families Matter Brenda Henley is married and a mother of two young men. She has been involved as a Parent Educator for over 20 years. She is a senior facilitator, a new program designer, and one of the leads of our offerings for professionals who work with children. Brenda facilitates Slow Parenting, Terrific Toddlers, How to Talk so Kids will Listen, Spirited Child and our ten week, Families Learning Together Program that support families who children are transitioning into kindergarten. She is passionate about giving both children and parents tools to be effective communicators and problem solvers. Brenda also works at Mount Royal College with conflict resolution students and is employed with Alberta Justice as a Civil Mediator. Brenda received the LOLA award through Calgary Learns in the Category Facilitator of the Year 2008. National designation as Canadian Certified Family Educator.
