Sophie and the Bad Boys
Sophie and the Bad Boys Sophie loves to sing classic songs. She added Beseme Mucho to her repertoire. In an Artichokian moment John Richter had just learned the same song on his clarinet and put it together with Sophie and Tim. Dale Jones had just purchased his China Doll stand-up bass and needed a place to express his profound vibrations. John Manns heard those four perform at a local bistro and informed the group that they needed some percussion which he provided. An award-winning composer, Tom Arnold, --no, not the actor -- wrote a song, She Needs a Bad Boy. Sophie learned and sang the song from a womans perspective. It was debuted at an Artichoke Friday Night Coffeehouse. When Sophie announced that the performers were Sophie and Tim the audience informed her, "Youre not Sophie and Tim; youre Sophie and the Bad Boys! Thus the band was born. They have been practicing and performing since 2017.
