The May 13th show features Frankie Quinones, Dan St. Paul, Aundre the Wonderwoman, Priya Prasad, and Lisa Geduldig.
Frankie Quinones, hailing out of the San Francisco comedy scene, is a one-man variety show filled with energy and a rare ability to transform himself from one character to the next in an instant. He is the founder of For the People Comedy and has established himself as one of the top comedians coming out of San Francisco. He is known for bringing originality to the stage with a fresh urban twist along with musical parodies and covers a wide range of characters and topics such as crazy Mexican uncles and short-lived relationships. He has become a comedy club favorite and regularly sells out shows all throughout California. Frankie has also toured with some of the industry's top headliners including the legendary Paul Rodriguez and has performed for the troops in Japan, Europe, and the Middle East. Now residing in LA, Quinones is currently working on several upcoming projects and can be seen on a new late-night standup series on the Nickelodeon network. http://www.frankiequinones.com
Dan St. Paul, after a 7-year stint headlining SF clubs in the comedy duo Murphy-St.Paul, launched out on his own with a solo act that landed him in the finals of The SF Comedy Competition. Having grown up in SF's Mission District, Dan moved to LA and appeared on several episodes of An Evening at the Improv, numerous shows on VH-1, MTV, and Comedy Central. He has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, and others and has appeared in the movie "Flubber" with Robin Williams and signed a recording deal with MCA records. His CD, "Natural and Good for You" contains one the most requested comedy pieces on radio, "The First Baseball Game." Corporate clients include Hewlett Packard, National Semiconductor, IBM, Intel, Nations Bank, Philips Magnavox, Chevron, Blue Cross, and many, many more. Armed with a Bachelors Degree in Italian from UC Berkeley, a teaching credential from San Francisco State, and a Masters Degree in special education, the majority of Dan's material comes from being a suburban husband and father and dealing with the frustrations of everyday life. http://www.danstpaul.com
Aundre the Wonderwoman set her sights on political humor from the beginning. She uses the stage as her bully pulpit taking on everything from presidential politics to animal lovers. She took first place at the 1999 Russian River Resort Comedy Competition, was a semi-finalist in the 2005 SF Comedy Competition, and is the recipient of the 2008 Stand Up For Justice Award from Death Penalty Focus for her legal work against the death penalty.
Priya Prasad comes from an East Indian background, grew up in suburban Seattle, and makes Oakland her home. Her style of comedy is witty, intelligent, thought-provoking, and rich with the cultural experience of an urban East Indian American. In the last few years, she has hit the Bay Area stages with a force. In 2010, in her second time on stage, she advanced and eventually won San Francisco's Speech Therapy Comedy Competition. Since then she has participated in many competitions and comedy festivals and has been a featured comedian on shows all over the Bay Area as well as in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle, and New York.
