Karl Marx Reyes is a Filipino/American Tenor trained in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Reyes made his Seattle Opera debut as a Contadino in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, followed as the Messenger in Verdi's Aida and then the NVA Lieutenant Commander in the world premiere of Daron Hagen's Amelia. Roles within his repertoire include Remendado in Bizet's Carmen, John Styx & Orpheus in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld, Pedrillo in Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio and Goro in Madama Butterfly. Equally versatile in more challenging roles, he also sang Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème and Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte. He created the role of Queequeg in the northwest premiere of Richard Peaslee's Ahab, An Oratorio, based on the novel Moby Dick and recently added the role of Gastone in Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, as a guest artist with Seattle Opera's 2013 Young Artist Program. Mr. Reyes is also a proud member of the Seattle Opera Chorus for the past 2 decades.
Arnaldo! Dragchanteuse is a New York Bistro Award winner and also artistic director of The Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association. As a regular guest soloist of the Seattle Men's Chorus, Arnaldo! has performed in some of the most prestigious halls in the world. As a solo artist, he has received numerous ovations in LA, San Francisco, NY, Puerto Vallarta and of course his hometown, Seattle.
