WTS Lunch Program: Milepost 31
Milepost 31 is an award-winning information center that highlights the people and projects that shaped Pioneer Square, and provides an inside look at the SR 99 Tunnel Project. You'll find history, artifacts and interactive exhibits designed to broaden your understanding of the land beneath you. You will also learn about Bertha, the world's largest Tunnel Boring Machine named after Bertha Knight Landes who was elected Mayor of Seattle in 1926 and became the first woman to lead a major American city.
