Fashionflower at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
Fashionflower is a quirky & sentimental Jazz-Pop duo of innovative harpist, Emma Newton, and fiery fiddler, Corwin Zekley. The duet performs electrifying original love songs, imaginative covers, and sultry standards all brought to life with soaring vocal harmonies. Corwin Zekley is a singer, songwriter, and virtuosic violinist who plays and composes in genres ranging from Celtic to Gypsy Jazz to Rock & Roll. Corwin attends the Berklee College of Music in Boston, teaches violin, and performs with a variety of bands. He studied composition and songwriting, as well as improvisation with Marshall Hawkins (who played with Miles Davis). Emma Newton is an eclectic harpist, pianist, and singer-songwriter versed in Classical as well as Jazz whose voice is as moving as her Jazz-Pop originals. She writes and plays in a myriad of styles, including jazz, pop, rock, and classical, and she performs at venues and festivals all over New England, including gigs with the Metrowest Symphony Orchestra and the Harry Potter Soundtrack Orchestra at the Berklee Performance Center.
