A violent Amsterdam criminal, who has moments of uncontrollable rage, narrowly survives an unfortunate incident and returns with sharpened senses back to life. A young Angolan asylum seeker cannot talk about the horrors of his past and sees his chances of a legal residence in the Netherlands evaporate. There is also a bodyguard with depression, a waiter with a sick cat, and a couple with a great sorrow. All will help each other. After all, we are still in the world to help each other, right? Based on "Om mekaar in Dokkum," the graphic novel by director Guido van Driel.
