Time to workout those writing muscles by sharing your terrible-awful-no-good-first-drafts with our passionate community of supportive and friendly writers. Together we'll celebrate the magic in your writing and, just like personal trainers, we'll give each other the tips, tricks and gentle pushes which build strong writing muscles. Writers of all genres from poetry to fiction to non-fiction are welcome. FYI: Most students are writing fiction and memoir at this time.
Bring copies of as little as one paragraph up to three pages, double spaced in 12 point font. The number of copies varies Saturdays typically have 10 to 12 people and Tues nights have 4 to 8. We can share copies if necessary. You DO NOT have to bring your writing. You can learn a ton hearing feedback others receive. Also, if you can't make copies you can still come read, but be aware feedback is harder to give. However, it still great to get out and share your work. In fact, you can even request to share and not recieve any feedback. We will meet you where you are at. (Check out Poet's Gym on the 1st Saturday of every month for our poetry writers.)
