Giacomo -- Music Makers Performance
Giacomo is a One Act Christmas Chamber Opera written by Joseph E. Fischer in 1975. The story is based on the legend of an Italian shoemaker who is obsessed with the idea that the Christ Child will visit him on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, 1616, Giacomo is in his shop finishing a pair of shoes he is making as gift for the Child. In the course of the evening, his work is interrupted by three visits of troubled people in need of help.
