BEING IN PLACE

The focus of this 15 month programme of research, based in both Wales and Brighton, has been Jo Shapland's immersion in five wild places in Wales. This has led to the generation of drawings and writing that she is using as visual and auditory scores for creating dance and music. Jo is facilitating a workshop situation alone and with other artists in a 'black box' space in Brighton. She is directing her work towards cracking the code of a new creative device for site-embedded work.

The presentation will be approximately 1 hour long including tea, coffee and discussion chaired by Professor Liz Aggiss.

There will also be an opportunity to view a residual installation between 11am and 4pm the following day.
