Neu! Reekie! 34
Neu! Reekie! is a meticulously curated medley of spoken word, film, animation, performance and music, now seen to be one of Scotland's best attended mixed-arts night and 'a key piece of mother Caledonia's cultural puzzle'!

STARRING: Sparrow and the Workshop - Kim Moore (Zoey Van Goey) & Gareth Griffiths HELL UNLTD - Kevin Williamson (with Craig Lithgow) - WITH SURPRISE MUSICAL GUESTS.

SPARROW AND THE WORKSHOP
Sparrow and the Workshop are Jill O'Sullivan (vocals & acoustic guitar), Nick Packer (guitar, bass, basstard) and Gregor Donaldson (drums). May 27th sees the return of Glasgow based Sparrow and the Workshop's third album; Murderopolis through independent label Song, by Toad Records.  The trio bring plenty of vigour, and a marked evolution of their sound, to their latest record, Murderopolis, following on from the rambunctious offering of 'Shock Shock', the first single taken from the album. Showcasing a darker tone, Murderopolis continues to illustrate the musicianship and passion that are intrinsic to Sparrow and the Workshop's creative output. Having supported the likes of Brian Jonestown Massacre, British Sea Power, the Lemonheads and Thee Oh Sees and taken to the stage at Glastonbury, Green Man and Bestival to name a few, the band are seasoned performers, and for your chance to catch their exhilarating live show, keep an eye on their website: www.sparrowandtheworkshop.co.uk.

KEVIN WILLIAMSON
Poet, novelist, performer and publisher. Former chief of cult publishers Rebel Inc now co-chief / co-founder of Neu! Reekie!  always a burning bright Burns zealot. Post his hit Festival show Robert Burns: not in my name, comes a multi-media interpretation of Tam O' Shanter with musical composition/accompaniment from Craig Lithgow/Emelle and curated visual by big KW. Plus the man's only gone and memorised all 20 verses  that's some 224 lines. Alongside Kevin will be CRAIG LITHGOW performing a live musical composition.

Each Neu! Reekie! event is carefully orchestrated as a single performance symphony; a sequence of visual veils slowly revealed; a black-box theatre vibe. Their aesthetic and element of surprise has spread into table sculptures, live portraits, outdoor lightshows and a Raffle of the Absurd.
